The Baylot Manuscript in Translation: BnF FM4 15

Tranlated, Annotated, & Introduced by Tau Phosphoros

This revised and expanded second edition of The Baylot Manuscript in Translation features full-color reproductions of all 77 folios of the original manuscript - BnF FM4 15, held at the Bibliothèque nationale de France - making the primary source directly accessible to readers for the first time. The translation has been thoroughly revised and corrected through systematic comparison with the original, with nearly 70 new annotations added to the original corpus of 296 endnotes, now converted to footnotes for ease of reference. New discoveries made during the editorial process - including previously unrecorded interlinear glosses, marginalia, and text absent from all prior transcriptions - are documented throughout.

Drafted between the early 1750s and the late 1760s and bearing a final date of 1768, this codex of over thirty unique ritual pieces across more than seventy folios was assembled by and/or for Martinès de Pasqually, founder of the influential Ordre des Chevaliers Maçons Élus Coëns de l'Univers. The manuscript is primarily a compendium of early Scottish or écossais grades that would later form the core of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, including grades found in no other known manuscript collection. Predating the Francken Manuscript by at least fifteen years, it preserves ritual forms already lost to standardization by the time the Rite of Perfection reached maturity.

Gnosticism

Revealing the hidden light within the ancient mysteries.

Catechism of the Église Gnostique Explained
by Tau Sophronius

Drawing from the Pistis Sophia, the Bruce Codex, Valentinian and Basilidean traditions, Cathar mythos, and the esoteric Catholicism of the era, the work presents a sweeping vision of the divine, pneumatic, and hylic worlds; the hierarchies of the Pleroma; the fall and redemption of the soul; and the sacramental mysteries that guide the initiate toward liberation. At once mystical, speculative, devotional, and idiosyncratic, it reveals both the brilliance and the contradictions of early modern Gnostic thought.

The Gnosis Restored: Essays from the Masters of the French Gnostic Renaissance

A landmark anthology of some the seminal texts that ignited the modern Gnostic revival. The Gnosis Restored gathers, for the first time in English, foundational writings of Jules-Benoît Stanislas Doinel du Val-Michel and his successors-Papus, Léonce-Eugène-Joseph Fabre des Essarts, Marie Chauvel de Chauvigny, Louis-Sophrone Fugairon, and Jean "Joanny" Bricaud. Meticulously translated and introduced, this collection is an indispensable resource for scholars, initiates, and seekers drawn to the living current of Gnostic, Martinist, and esoteric Masonic traditions.

Light Beyond Shadows
by Tau Phosphoros
and Tau Bruno II

Light Beyond Shadows is a compilation of homilies delivered by Tau Phosphoros and Tau Bruno II to the Parish of St. Ambelain from 2014 to 2018. These homilies cover significant liturgical events and themes within the Apostolic Church of the Pleroma (ACP), a Gnostic Christian tradition. Overall, this work emphasizes the balance between tradition and new revelation, the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, the importance of initiation and guided instruction, and the central role of Love and Gnosis in the Christian faith.

The Pleromic Light Unveiled
by Tau Phosphoros

Tau Phosphoros, archbishop and Patriarch of the Apostolic Church of the Pleroma, examines in detail the principal liturgy of the ACP. This is both a practical manual and theoretical exegesis, giving detailed instruction for the celebration of the liturgy as well as delving into the philosophical, theological, and occult bases of this ceremony, described by Tau Phosphoros as a rite of High Theurgy. While intended primarily for ACP clergy, this work will be appreciated by all ecclesiastical Gnostics, Liberal Catholics, and those of the Independent Sacramental Movement who are looking to study the esoteric foundation of the Eucharistic Mass.

Liturgical Prayers

This is the second volume of the 3-part work of the influential French priest-healer of fin-de-siècle, Abbé Julio. This work contains many rare prayers, litanies, and novenas, as well as the full liturgical calendar of both the Roman Church and of Abbé Julio's Église Catholique Française, inherited from the famous French-American bishop Joseph-René Vilatte. As with the first volume, the prayers, novenas, healing operations, etc. for every possible case are well indexed. Also included are the prayers of the Mass in English and Latin, special masses, marriage and funerary rites, etc., etc.

Martinism & Esoteric Freemasonry

Masonic Orthodoxy: Followed by Occult Masonry and Hermetic Initiation by J.-M. Ragon

This classic tome on Masonic history and doctrine is available in English for the first time since its publication in 1853. This important work is often referenced by Masonic historians. Indeed, most English-speaking Masonic enthusiasts are familiar with the name of Ragon, but very few have read his principal work. Every student of Masonic and para-Masonic organizations will want this volume on their shelves.

Treatise on the Reintegration of Beings by Martinès de Pasqually

This is the principal work of the founder of the Élus Coens. Written by Pasqually cir. 1772 for private dissemination among his "emulators," this work was only published in full over 125 years after his death. This peculiar biblical exegesis has both fascinated and frustrated students and researchers for years, because of Pasqually's often poor mastery of the French language (which seems not to have been his native tongue) and his unique jargon. It is strongly recommended that the student of this work procure also the work of Le Forestier, as it is of invaluable aid in the deciphering of Pasqually's doctrine.

Occultist Freemasonry in the 18th Century and the Order of Élus Coens by René Le Forestier

This classic tome is considered by many to be the definitive analysis of one of the most mysterious and enigmatic, yet one of the most influential orders of esoteric Freemasonry. Le Forestier carefully examines the doctrine, rituals, and history of this theurgical order par excellence of the 18th century. This will be of particular interest not only to every student of Martinism, but also to the students of the early development of the so-called Scottish degrees in France.

Glimpses of Masonic History by C. W. Leadbeater

This restored edition presents the text in its complete, unabridged form for the first time in decades. Editions published since the 1980s under titles such as Ancient Mystic Rites or Freemasonry and Its Ancient Mystic Rites removed passages and omitted many of the original plates. Here, all textual excisions have been reinstated and every plate faithfully reproduced, returning the work to the form in which Leadbeater originally issued it.

Martinès de Pasqually: His life, his magical practices, his work, his disciples by Papus

This seminal work by Papus looks at the life and teachings of the founder of the Élus Coens through examinations of the personal correspondence of the master with his disciples, whom he calls "emulators." This volume makes an excellent companion to the work of Le Forestier, containing much of the source material upon which the latter relies. Papus includes as an appendix some of the catechisms of the Élus Coens, which further elucidate Pasqually's doctrine of reintegration.

What a Master Mason Ought to Know by Papus

This classic tome is considered by many to be the definitive analysis of one of the most mysterious and enigmatic, yet one of the most influential orders of esoteric Freemasonry. Le Forestier carefully examines the doctrine, rituals, and history of this theurgical order par excellence of the 18th century. This will be of particular interest not only to every student of Martinism, but also to the students of the early development of the so-called Scottish degrees in France.

Studies in Esotericism

A treasury of diverse paths into the arcane and the eternal.

Exegesis of the Soul: Three Treatises on the Nature, Origin, & Destiny of the Human Soul
by Papus

This special compilation collects three previously untranslated works by Papus: - The Human Soul Before Birth and After Death (1898) is a fascinating exegesis on the Amélineau translation of the Pistis Sophia. - How Is the Human Being Constituted? (1900) offers a thorough summary of the constituent parts of the human being: body, soul, and spirit, examining the unique function of each and how they work together to form a cohesive whole. - What Becomes of Our Dead (1914), written in the midst of the horrors of the First World War, makes a contemplative analysis of the faculties and evolution of the human soul.

The Little Religions of Paris
by Jules Bois

In The Little Religions of Paris French author, journalist, and playwright Jules Bois briefly examines some of the lesser-known religious sects percolating in the environs of fin-de-siècle Paris. Originally published in 1894, this work surveys such movements as the Theosophists, the Buddhists, the Swedenborgians, and of course the Gnostics. Even included herein are the Humanist cult of sociology pioneer Auguste Comte, and the later-discredited Palladian conspiracy of Leo Taxil, as well as several other interesting groups. This small volume provides an important snapshot of religious thought in the belle époque.

Satan's Secret Pylon
by Reginald Freeman

In this provocative and meticulously documented monograph, Reginald Freeman-former Executive Director of the Friary / Ordo Sacrae Flammae-offers a bold exposé of the hidden doctrinal architecture underpinning the Apostolic Johannite Church (AJC). Drawing upon firsthand experience, archival evidence, and comparative analysis, Freeman contends that the inner teachings of the AJC and its initiatic counterpart, the Friary, are deeply rooted in Setian and left-hand path philosophy, despite public denials by its leadership. The work begins with a personal preamble, addressing recent controversies and affirming the author's commitment to transparency and accountability. From there, Freeman systematically dismantles official narratives, juxtaposing AJC statements with organizational documents and initiatic teachings that mirror those of the Temple of Set. Through side-by-side comparisons of by-laws, ritual structures, and philosophical texts, the book reveals a striking continuity between the AJC's inner order and Setian metaphysics.

What Is Occultism? by Papus

Papus, in his customary succinct yet erudite style, introduces the reader to the major tenets of traditional occultism. A remarkable amount of information is packed into this little work. With chapter headings such as: Theory, Metaphysics, Logic, Moral, Aesthetics, Theodicy, Sociology, etc. This work touches upon all of the fundamentals of occult thought, including traditional history, practical occultism, and social reform. The novice will find this to be a particularly useful guide while navigating his or her studies. There is much to be found here that is normally only introduced within the traditional initiatic fraternities and societies.

The Arcane Schools by John Yarker

This hardbound edition of Yarker's classic opus is not merely another facsimile edition. It has been completely reformatted, yet retains a look and feel that is comparable to the original 1909 edition, right down to the blue cloth binding and gold stamped spine. From Alchemy to Zoroaster, and everything in between, The Arcane Schools continues to be one of the most comprehensive and authoritative works concerning the history and migration of the Western Mystery Tradition. Students of Freemasonry, Rosicrucianism, and Theosophy will find this to be an indispensable addition to their collection.

The Philosopher's Stone: Irrefutable Proofs of its Existence by Papus

Papus, a towering figure in the French occult revival, draws upon the writings of Helvetius, Van Helmont, and Bérigard of Pisa, among others, to present a compelling case for transmutation and the unity of matter. With characteristic clarity and conviction, he explores the Stone's role as a "medicine of the three kingdoms"-mineral, vegetable, and animal-and its enduring presence in Hermetic traditions, Freemasonry, and sacred architecture.
