 Drafted between the early 1750s and the late 1760s and bearing a final date of 1768, this codex of over thirty unique ritual pieces across more than seventy folios was assembled by and/or for Martinès de Pasqually, founder of the influential Ordre des Chevaliers Maçons Élus Coëns de l'Univers. The manuscript is primarily a compendium of early Scottish or écossais grades that would later form the core of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, including grades found in no other known manuscript collection. Predating the Francken Manuscript by at least fifteen years, it preserves ritual forms already lost to standardization by the time the Rite of Perfection reached maturity.

First published in Paris in December 1899 as No. 5 in the Second Series of the Bibliothèque Rosicrucienne - the imprint of the Ordre Kabbalistique de la Rose-Croix - this volume appeared at the height of the French esoteric revival and amid vigorous controversy over the origins and nature of the tradition now known as Martinism. Its principal author, Alexandre-Albéric Thomas (Tau Marnès), was a bishop of the Gnostic Church, a Supérieur Inconnu of the Ordre Martiniste, active secretary of the Grande Loge Misraïmite, and secretary of the journal La Gnose. Working from primary archives never previously subjected to systematic scholarly scrutiny - the Villaréal archives of the Ordre des Élus-Coëns, the records of the Philalèthes, and documents in private hands - Thomas produced a work of meticulous historical scholarship that remains the foundational study of its subject.

Following the Notice, Baader's essay offers a philosophical and theosophical appreciation of Pasqually's doctrine of Reintegration, framing it within the christiano-theosophical tradition of Boehme and Eckhart. Together, the two texts - the historical and the philosophical - present the teaching of Martinès de Pasqually from complementary perspectives.

Ordo Luciferis Resurgentis

The Ordo Luciferis Resurgentis is a Gnostic initiatory order working within the Christo-Luciferian current: the recognition that the name Lucifer belongs, authentically and primarily, to Christ: the bright Morning Star of 2 Peter 1:19, the Light-Bearer who is the Logos, the light that shines in the darkness and is not overcome by it.

The Order welcomes those who come from Christian Gnostic backgrounds, from the Western esoteric tradition in its various currents (Martinism, esoteric Freemasonry, the broader ceremonial tradition) and from serious independent study of the Gnostic texts. It does not require prior initiatic affiliation, but it does require genuine intellectual and spiritual seriousness.
